The Reflection Cycle was developed by Dr. Beverly J. Irby and Dr. Genevieve Brown. They have two books, several papers, and grants that are inclusive of this Cycle. The point of this Reflection Cycle is to assist you in improving your leadership skills. Reflective leaders are improved leaders. In stage 1 they select an artifact that demonstrates a time you led (in any way); an artifact could range from a photo of your leading a meeting to an agenda of a meeting (it is the experience around the event represented by the artifact). Stages 2-5 are prompting, reflective questions that will use analytical thinking that ultimately moves you to think about transforming your practice.
